Since its launch in 2011, Trello has positioned itself worldwide as one of the leading tools for managing projects by implementing the Kanban methodology.
Its visual approach, simple usability and flexibility make Trello the ideal choice for teams looking to optimize organization and efficiency.
I invite you to discover it in this tour... Welcome!
Trello and the oriental methodology
Trello is a very user-friendly App that allows you to implement Kanban methodology digitally, ideal for coordinating remote teams.
What is Kanban methodology?
In Japanese, Kanban means "visual record" or "card". This methodology was first implemented in the Toyota factory in the 1950s, with the aim of optimizing efficiency, reducing waste and continuously improving processes.
Based on these concepts, Trello developers created an intuitive, visually appealing and secure App to simplify collaborative tasks by implementing Kanban.
How I apply Kanban with Trello
Let's make it simple with an example:
If you are, for example, a Project Manager, with Trello you can organize your daily work by assigning a “workspace” for each account (e.g., Nike). There, you will create “boards” for each project (e.g., “Sneakers marketing”), and within that board, you will generate “lists” that you can organize, for example, in different instances: “To do”, “In progress” and “Done”. Within each list, you will create cards where you will detail the tasks that are already done, those that are in progress or those that are pending.
While this last board organization is classic Kanban (“To Do”, “In Progress” and “Done”), you will be able to create your own boards with the categories that work for you.
In addition, you will be able to configure the privacy of your “boards” and add or remove collaborators.
In Trello, you can save and share texts, images and links. Therefore, it is an essential tool for managing projects visually with real-time updates in a collaborative space.
Trello's Interface and Usability
Trello has a friendly interface, with a modern, clean and minimalist look and feel, which makes it easy to use even for beginners.
Its operation is based on cards (your tasks) that you can drag and drop between boards to indicate where they are in the process (“To do”, “In progress” and “Done”). This methodology allows you to easily and quickly organize your tasks.
As a new user, at first, you might feel a bit overwhelmed with the new concepts, but it won't take you too long to learn them. The App has many specific functionalities in each area to enrich your experience but don't worry, you will gradually discover which ones are useful for your work and which ones you can skip.
Trello features you'll love

Organize your team from all your devices
Trello is available for all devices and operating systems:
- Desktop App for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Mobile App for iOS and Android.
While there may be differences in interface and add-ons between the mobile and desktop version, both share the same basic functionalities.
As you can see, Trello is a key tool for managing team tasks remotely and in real time. It allows you to keep track of your work, even from your cell phone, giving you full control over tasks and deadlines.
In my opinion, Trello is an app worth trying out... but what matters most is what you think. What are you waiting for to download it?
